Sixth Form

The South View School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England, with content that is adapted to the UAE and mindful of our multi-national demographic. Students in Year 12-13 (Key Stage 5) choose to study A Levels, BTECs or a combination of both. Students complete their courses over two years, culminating in formal examinations and final coursework deadlines at the end of Year 13.

In support of our academic curriculum, SVS offers a rich and varied extra-curricular programme, with activities ranging from sports squads to recreational team play, opportunities to develop performing arts and debating with our Model United Nations club. Our international and local trips give students a chance to discover the wider world and apply what they learn in class to real-life situations. Our wellbeing agenda supports our curriculum and develops skills and resilience in our students that will help them to face future challenges.

Career and University Preparation

In Key Stage 5, students follow a high-class careers programme with a keen focus on preparing them for life after Year 13. Students are provided with opportunities to engage with local businesses and professional speakers through our masterclass sessions. At SVS students will attend university fairs, visit local universities and work closely with our dedicated Careers and University guidance counsellor to prepare their university applications to a variety of worldwide destinations. The Sixth form and Careers team will be situated in our brand-new, custom-made 6th form centre.
