Year 7-9 (Key Stage 3)

Students in Key Stage 3 follow a timetable that encompasses a broad range of subjects in line with other top international British schools. This is designed to enable students to experience a broad variety of subject interests and develop their skills of curiosity and investigation.  During Year 9, students make their option choices for IGCSE study which begins in Year 10 and culminates with formal, external examinations in Year 11.

To support the academic curriculum, SVS offers a rich and varied extra-curricular programme, with activities ranging from sports squads to recreational team play, opportunities to develop performing arts and debating with our Model United Nations club.

Our international and local trips give students a chance to discover the wider world and to link and apply what they learn in class to real-life situations. Our wellbeing agenda supports our curriculum and develops skills and resilience in our youngsters that will help them to face future challenges.

In Key Stage 4, students also embark on a high-class careers programme with the aim of making informed decisions when they are asked to choose their Post-16 subjects. Students are provided with opportunities to engage with local businesses and professional speakers through our masterclass sessions. At SVS students will attend university fairs, visit local universities and work closely with our dedicated Careers and University guidance counsellor to prepare their university applications to a variety of worldwide destinations.

The Careers team will be situated in our brand-new, custom-made 6th form centre which will give students in KS4 an insight into life in the Sixth Form.
